Kevin Cumming
President

 

 

 

 

Kevin Cumming was appointed President of ATCO Midstream in August 2004. He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from NAIT and a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Kevin held leadership roles with Northwestern Utilities from 1986 until 1995 when he joined ATCO Midstream’s predecessor company as the Manager of Marketing and Project Development. He became Vice President, Gas Gathering and Processing and, in 2002, was appointed Vice President, Business Development.

Kevin is a current member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA). He is a Director of SEPAC (Small Explorers and Producers Association of Canada) and a former Director and Executive member of the Gas Processors Association of Canada (formerly CGPA).

Wayne Wright
Senior Vice President, Finance & Controller

Wayne has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Certified General Accountant designation. Wayne joined the ATCO Group in 1980 as Manager, Financial Reporting and in 1988, was appointed Assistant Controller. In 1990, Wayne accepted the Vice President Controller role at Alberta Power and transferred to ATCO Midstream in 1996 as Vice President, Commercial & Finance. In 2000, he accepted the Vice President, Commercial & Controller position at ATCO Pipelines before assuming his current role at ATCO Midstream in 2006.

Mike Dever
Vice President, Gas Gathering & Processing

Mike Dever graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1983. He completed a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Alberta in 1992. Mike began his career as a Gas Engineer with Texaco Canada in 1983.

Mike joined Wolcott Gas Processing in 1995 with responsibilities for the Empress Gas Liquids and Nottingham Plants. With the ATCO acquisition of Wolcott in 2001, Mike was appointed Senior Engineer, Operations at ATCO Midstream. He held successively progressive positions until his appointment to Vice President, Natural Gas Liquids in 2006.

Mike is a current member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).

Marie Yan
Vice President, Storage & Energy Services

Marie has been employed with ATCO since 1992 and with ATCO Midstream or its predecessor companies during most of this time. She has held progressively responsible positions in the Contracts and Marketing functions until her appointment to Manager, Storage and Energy Services in 2004 and became Senior Manager in February, 2007. Marie was appointed Vice President of this group in January, 2008.

Marie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1990. Prior to joining ATCO, Marie worked as a Project Engineer with Esso Chemical Alberta Limited.

Marie is a current member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).

Jeff McPhail
Senior Manager, Business Development

Jeff McPhail graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1988. He is a professional Chemical Engineer who started his career with ATCO in 1988. Jeff held a number of engineering roles in his nine years with the company before continuing his career in gas marketing and risk management in the oil and gas sector. More recently, Jeff has held progressively responsible roles in business development at ConocoPhillips and Duke Energy Empress prior to joining ATCO Midstream in 2007.Jeff is a director of the Gas Processors Association of Canada.

Jeff is a current member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).

John Walker
Senior Manager, Corporate Services

John joined ATCO Group in 1981 and held progressively responsible positions with Canadian Western Natural Gas Company Limited, prior to his appointment as Manager, Human Resources in 1987. He then transferred to ATCO Pipelines in 1999 as Manager, Corporate Services and held this position until his 2006 appointment in ATCO Midstream.

John obtained his Master of Education degree from Kent State University. He had previously spent six years as a university instructor in the United States and two years as a human resources manager for a Saskatchewan food manufacturing company.
